National Forestry Database Program

Objective:

Canadian Council of Forest Ministers

The purpose of this Program is:

  • to establish a comprehensive database on a national level to form the basis for a description of forest management activities in Canada;
  • to develop a public information program based on the national database; and
  • to provide timely and credible information to the policy process.

The Program is co-chaired by the Canadian Forest Service of Natural Resources Canada and the provincial or territorial government that chairs the CCFM for the year. The secretariat is provided by the Canadian Forest Service of Natural Resources Canada.
