The CCFM is composed of fourteen federal, provincial and territorial ministers (elected officials). Each year members of the Council assume the responsibility of the chair for the Council. Newfoundland and Labrador assumes the chair in 2009-2010, and will be followed by Nunavut in 2010-2011. The secretariat for the Council is provided by Natural Resources Canada' Science and Policy Integration.
