Canadian Criteria and Indicators Framework
National Status 2005 (Full Report) (HTML ou PDF)
The CCFM released its first framework of criteria and indicators (C&I) for sustainable forest management in 1995, and subsequent reports in 1997 and 2000. These were important steps in implementing Canada’s national and international commitments related to sustainable forest management. In 2003, the CCFM released an updated C&I framework. In 2006, the CCFM released its report on national progress toward sustainable forest management. The CCFM is also involved with the Montréal Process, which has established and is reporting on criteria and indicators for the sustainable management of temperate and boreal forests. The Montréal Process includes 12 non-European countries covering 90% of the world's temperate and boreal forests. Its liaison office is provided by the Canadian Forest Service of Natural Resources Canada.
